Football

Football is a team sport played between two teams, typically consisting of eleven players each, on a rectangular field with a goal at each end. The objective of the game is to score by getting a ball into the opposing team’s goal, using predominantly feet, though players may use other parts of their body except their arms and hands, with the exception of the goalkeeper. The game is played in two halves, each usually lasting 45 minutes, and is known for its continuous play and dynamic strategies. Football is one of the most popular sports worldwide, governed by organizations such as FIFA, with the FIFA World Cup being one of the most prestigious tournaments in the sport. Variants of the game exist, including association football (soccer), American football, and rugby football, each with its own set of rules and styles of play.
